All the Street Style from the Carolina Herrera Fall 2020 Fashion Show
“You’ll always find the Herrera woman a cloudy day, standing out in a bright pink coat… when everyone else is wearing black,” muses creative director Wes Gordon. And indeed Carolina Herrera women stood out on the misty February Monday morning that welcomed Gordon’s one grand gesture for the Fall 2020 collection.
Decked in candy colors from spicy cayenne to taxicab yellow, show-goers honored Gordon’s colorful codes of the House through whimsical touches and personal style. Both Babba Rivera and Krystal Bick were living Valentine Day cards in flamingo pink coats from the Fall 2019 and Resort 2019 collection. Babba completed her look with the Pre-Fall 2020 flamingo pink Insignia bag with cayenne sash, available in Carolina Herrera New York boutiques this summer. Gala Gonzalez and Leonora Jimenez were the first to carry the CH Carolina Herrera Charro bag. Gala paired her tan Charro with the Carolina Herrera New York Spring 2020 plaid overcoat, while Leonora was bold in a red wool from CH Carolina.
London native Tamara Kalinic accessorized her CH Carolina Herrera Initials Insignia bag with a tassel fob from the new Carolina Herrera beauty collection, the perfect complement to her Pre-Fall 2019 floral intarsia coat and brilliant blue suit. Dubai-based Diala Makki offered a flash of flamingo pink by pairing her Pre-Fall 2019 draped coat with the Resort 2020 color-blocked dress; it was the perfect complement to her perfectly petite CH Carolina Herrera Mini Scala Insignia bag. And accidental icon Lyn Slater paired her CH Carolina Herrera Doma Insignia top-handle bag with the embroidered camel coat from the Resort 2020 collection.
Despite the clouds, eyewear offered a playful touch on Michelle Salas (darling in head-to-toe plaid from the Early Pre-Fall 2020 collection), Sai de Silva of Scout the City, and Jenny Walton (divine in allover blue layers). Suggy Li complemented her Carolina Herrera New York Spring 2020 eyewear with CH Carolina Herrera jasmine earrings and a CH Carolina Herrera Initials Insignia hip bag. LA-natives Angela Fink and Tania Sarin were perfect pairs in their Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 black, white, and tan plaid blazers and coats, made more edgy with leather pants, combat boots, and CH Carolina Herrera Doma Insignia top-handle bags.
Dressing was a family affair for the Chris Bosh family, whose fashion-loving daughter Dylan Skye joined us for her very first fashion week. With Chris handsome in his CH Carolina Herrera sweater and scarf, Dylan was a burst of fuchsia in her dotted lace CH Carolina Herrera dress and complementing navy and white jacket. Adrienne Bosh completed the family look with her Pre-Fall 2020 pleated leather mini skirt and jacket with grosgrain, pvc, and leather woven detail, worn with over-the-knee black suede boots. Prior to the show, Dylan took delight in visiting the Carolina Herrera showroom and meeting with creative director Wes Gordon for a special peek of the collection (and game of fetch with Wes’ cockapoo, Bird).
