As the season finally turns, the city’s social scene is aflutter with a calendar full of galas, dinners, and movie premieres. New York and Los Angeles alike have been bursting full of the vibrant colors of Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2018 Collection.
From The Handmaid’s Tale‘s newest starlet to the New York social scene, Spring’s celebration of color and striking pairings evoke a sense of optimistic energy. Earlier this month in New York, Hill House Home founder Nell Diamond wore the tulle and confetti dress to the Young Collectors Event while the Cultivist’s Laura de Gunzburg was electric in the electric yellow matchstick sequin-embellished gown. At the devilish Save Venice Masquerade, Nell Diamond wore the floral embroidered ballgown, Micaela Erlanger wore the off-shoulder-ruched dress, and Indré Rockefellar shimmered in the open-back sequin tulle ball gown. In Los Angeles, The Handmaid’s Tale‘s newest star, Sydney Sweeney was poised on the red carpet while wearing Spring’s tulle ballerina midi dress; while multi-talented artist Kelly Clarkson wore the sequined dotted dress while judging on The Voice.
But red carpets and galas were not the only place to see Carolina Herrera. Entrepreneur and digital marketing expert Babba Canales Rivera wore the black button-front suit as she spoke at the 2018 CFDA Fashion Leadership Conference. And on the Upper East Side, fine art portrait photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank celebrated her new book, Mother and Child, at a vibrant and stylish dinner filled with party-goers wearing their Carolina Herrera best. From the guest of honor wearing Spring’s electric yellow cocktail dress to entrepreneur Indré Rockefeller wearing the dotted midi dress, the dinner was a confection of fresh color combinations and glamorous silhouettes. Mrs. Herrera, who wrote the book’s forward to the book, also attended with her daughter Patricia, who delighted in the terrazzo print dress.
