It’s a good time to be a girly girl.

That’s because brides who embrace an overtly feminine look will find plenty of silhouettes to suit their style, including the elegant skirts, pretty necklines and intricate lace that dominate Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2017 collection.

Such traditional details as cascading ruffles and a boned bodice define “Look Four.” Made of silk faille, the gown features an exaggerated sweetheart neckline, and a structured, yet soft, ballgown skirt with generous folds that play up a bride’s femininity. It is inspired by Herrera’s “High-Low Bustier Denim Gown” from the Spring 2017 collection. Both offer women a romantic silhouette that’s simultaneously modern and time-honored.

“A popular trend for Fall 2017 is the return of feminine details,” says Fashion Stylist Shea Daspin. “Both these dresses share feminine details like the sweetheart necklines, accentuated bodices, and cascading ruffles – which also serves as a beautiful train on the wedding gown – and are unapologetic in their display of overt femininity. By changing the material from denim to silk faille, and lengthening the front hem for the bridal gown, it transforms the ready to wear silhouette into something more formal and appropriate for a wedding.”
