It’s a notion introduced by Mrs. Herrera, and now exists at the heart of the House of Herrera.  Alegría de vivir is more than a feeling… it’s a way of life.  It’s living with this joy and happiness.  And, for the House of Herrera, this extends to each look, accessory, and fragrance designed.

The notion of alegría de vivir first was introduced in the Carolina Herrera New York 1981 runway collection, with a parade of happy models sporting sharp looks for the modern woman.  And this tradition continues today, whether it’s through the playful bottle of Good Girl fragrance or a Carolina Herrera New York look that inspires you to dance.  Creative director Wes Gordon extends this notion throughout the atelier: “At Carolina Herrera, we create clothes that are happy to design, happy for the atelier to make.  There is a boldness and elegance to the brand, while still being joyful and fun.”  To wear Carolina Herrera is to wear happiness, knowing each piece was designed with joy and the intent of sharing that sentiment with its wearer.
