Joyful and pure in spirit, the Spring 2020 collection celebrates modern elegance with unstructured ease. Creative Director Wes Gordon realizes a romantic dream of hidden details, designed for a woman in motion.

The Carolina Herrera atelier, classically trained in haute couture, brings the meticulous attention signature of the House, to seventeen gowns with the fresh attitude of lightness—a theme translated through each name, beginning in “L”.

Immaculate construction is refreshed with grand proportions, shaking things up in just the right way, maintaining a sincerity to the Carolina Herrera heritage. The Lyla brings dramatic shape to a back bow with feminine grace, while The Lydia epitomizes the classic House sensibility, subtly breaking the rules with its stand collar— at once sharp and relaxed in silk mikado. The demure Luna has the refined nature of Grace Kelly, designed in stretch crepe to dance in through the eve. Couture at its height, The Louise, hand beaded in tulle, exposes fine boning and a base of lace delicately pure, as The London, a silk faille ball gown with floral organza appliqué, is defined with a modest bolero, embroidered in tulle. The Leyla and Lainey keep things up-to-date with complementary fabric combinations in double-faced silk georgette, guipure lace, and tulle. And The Lily, with tulle and Chantilly lace adorned by organza appliqué, is a testament to the techniques of artistry required for every piece.

The bride with a sense of the past and an eye for the future inspires the wise boldness of The Lourdes, a Chantilly lace jumpsuit with removable lace cape, truly defining modernity.

This polished attitude, the composed-cool of the Carolina Herrera woman, is given just as much attention as the countless hours and weeks spent handcrafting every trumpet, for a refined collection unmatched in construction and unexpected in demeanor.
