The Carolina Herrera New York Pre-Fall 2019 collection manifests the rich life of the Manhattan bohemian. Dreamed up by creative director Wes Gordon, the collection is inspired by the maximalist who is defined by bold, realistic femininity that reflects the diversity of her experience. Her style is informed as much by the vintage jewelry passed down by her grandmother as it is by her collection of antique hand-woven rugs and textiles. She values tradition but seeks all that is undiscovered, all that is unique.
With the collector in mind, rich ornate separates are paired in a maximalist way – evoking a gem tone color palette. The juxtaposition of luxe fabrics and unexpected prints (from tiger jacquard to bold feather-inspired patterns to contrasting florals and embroidered leather) make for an eclectic offering. Inspired by a woman with a wanderlust spirit, Wes Gordon offers a Pre-Fall collection that is a romance between tradition and curiosity. The collection will be available in-stores mid-summer.
