Greetings from Palm Springs, consider this our postcard from paradise. Chock-a-bloc full of bold color, eclectic glamour, and relaxed silhouettes, the Carolina Herrera New York Resort 2019 Collection celebrates an unexpected combination. Inspired by the dream of Palm Springs, California, creative director Wes Gordon dreamt of a season defined by color-blocking, graphic florals and hearts, and mixes of vermillion with cayenne, flamingo pink with juniper, and Herrera red against bright white.
Modernist touches, echoing the futurist style of 1960s California, are added as embroideries or bold embellishment. Enchanted by the fantasy of poolside desert living, this collection is filled with ease, playfulness, and femininity that translated on set through wide-brim hats, buckets of Valencia oranges, and mid-century modern props. Models Gisele Fox, Jing Wen, and Denya Altevers embodied the collection with their own joyful effervescence while tapping their toes to the tunes of Nancy Sinatra and Brigitte Bardot.
