It’s Handled: Kerry Washington wears Carolina Herrera in Scandal Finale
Hello Gladiators. For the past seven seasons we’ve watched the evolution of Scandal’s Olivia Pope, as a political fixer and as a style icon. From Olivia’s white coats and hats to her iconic evening looks, Kerry Washington and Shonda Rhimes have given their audience something to anticipate. And so it was fitting that Washington’s final look in the series paid homage to her character’s style and patriotism. Clad in one of the finale looks from the Carolina Herrera Fall 2018 Collection, Washington was portrayed in a portrait, a nod to former First Lady Michelle Obama’s own portrait at the Smithsonian Museum.
Mrs. Herrera’s final collection for the House, The Carolina Herrera Fall 2018 Collection is a celebration of opulence, glamour, and unapologetic beauty. Embracing bold colors, rich fabrics, and feminine silhouettes, the collection blends the House tradition of couture craftsmanship with the wearability and pragmatism of American Fashion. The finale looks of starched white shirts and silk taffeta ball skirts celebrated Mrs. Herrera’s singular personal style. This is a celebration of glamour and strong codes established by the founder and designer 37 years ago.
