Spring 2019 spreads joy at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund dinner
On the eve of the 2018 midterm elections, the House of Herrera joined with Australian model Shanina Shaik and actress Renée Elise Goldsberry to spread joy via the Carolina Herrera New York Spring 2019 Collection.
Creative director Wes Gordon’s date for the evening, Shaik wore the goldenrod floral off-the-shoulder mini dress with polka-dot bow accents, paired with pale pink heels custom made for the House by Manolo Blahnik. Also in peppy polka-dots, Tony Award-winner Renée Elise Goldsberry stunned in the off-the-shoulder top with complementing palazzo pants from the Spring 2019 Collection.
“I stayed up until 2am because I didn’t want to take it off!” tweeted the actress following the event. Held at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the 15th-anniversary CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund mentors and recognizes rising talent within the fashion industry. Creative director Wes Gordon was a nominee. Earlier this year, the CFDA awarded Mrs. Herrera the Founder’s Award for her tireless dedication to the fashion industry.
Inspired by images of Mrs. Herrera in the 1970s, the Spring 2019 Collection celebrated a period of thunderous glamour and a time for women to express their most fabulous selves.
