Due to the fact that most brides-to-be typically focus on their future gown’s silhouette, train or type of hemline, it is easy to overlook the more intimate details that will ultimately set their bridal look apart from the rest.

This season, Carolina Herrera reminds future brides that it’s all in the details. Utilizing the traditional femininity of bows, Carolina effortlessly captures her latest bridal collection with unconventional takes on this classic adornment – suiting brides with varying styles.

Carolina graced models with bows of exquisite proportions, many of which were unexpectedly placed. Whether it was an individual bow or a delicate assortment of them, the placement of each spoke to Carolina’s uncomplicated designs. While one gown featured an over sized, structured bow on the shoulder, a dreamy chiffon blouse included a softer bow at its neckline. Bow tie-like knots elevated otherwise simple cap sleeves and further celebrated the modern day bride.

“Bows add a sense of femininity as well as a classic element to a bridal gown,” says stylist Julia Wertheim Schnabel. “We have seen bows on bridal gowns throughout history and they are making a comeback in a modern way in Herrera’s Spring 2018 bridal collection.” This modern effect, coupled with Carolina’s timeless touch, translated into a collection any bride can envision themselves in.
