Actress and activist Tracee Ellis Ross made a strong statement this weekend while attending a Golden Globes event in Los Angeles. Honoring the historic number of women elected into the House of Representatives, Ross opted to wear a custom white sequin Carolina Herrera suit, a nod to the suffragette movement in the early 20th century. Custom made in the Carolina Herrera New York atelier in concordance with creative director Wes Gordon, the sequin suit was styled casually with a cropped tee and pair of high-top Nike trainers. This isn’t the actress’ first time wearing Carolina Herrera: just a month ago, the actress wore the Spring 2019 taxicab yellow camp shirt with palazzo pants while joining former first lady Michelle Obama on her book tour.
