Music continues its jolly march through the Carolina Herrera showroom and offices, punctuating our pops of color and dynamic silhouettes. For the Fall 2020 runway show, creative director Wes Gordon collaborated with Michel Gaubert to develop a runway track representative of Gordon’s grand gesture for Carolina Herrera. Still looking to songs of the past, this season dived into the 1980s, catapulting the runway into The The’s 1983 melody “This is the Day.” Expanding upon that, this season we celebrate songs from 1980s new wave and synth pop: New Order, Joy Division, Talking Heads, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and David Bowie, creating a mix to complement the pure pigment that drifted down the runway on a dreary February day.
