When considering the songs for the Fall 2019 collection, creative director Wes Gordon wanted to go bold. “I want strong female vocals – Grace Jones, Patti Smith, Joan Jett,” he said on a frigid February morning just days before the collection released at the New-York Historical Society. And so we present our Fall 2019 playlist, complete with songs from the runway (like Karen O’s “Woman” and Grace Jones’ zippy “I’ve Seen That Face Before”) and other tunes that played during fittings and in the design room as the teams made their finishing touches to the vibrant hothouse collection. A little bit vintage, with a whole lot of punch, our latest playlist is one that is sure to set the pace for your next walk through New York.
