Green Acres is the place to be
Farm living is the life for me
Land spreading out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside
New York is where I’d rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue
The chores, the stores, fresh air, Times Square
You are my wife, goodbye city life
Green Acres we are there
A simple life doesn’t have to mean a simple style—the Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2020 collection enlivens effortless separates. Taking cues from Eva Gabor’s character Lisa Douglas in the 50’s sitcom Green Acres, Creative Director Wes Gordon brings to life high glamour and dramatic silhouettes combined with wit and whimsy.
Enchanted by the carefree beauty of the Gordon’s relaxing weekends spent in Connecticut, this collection is filled with ease, femininity, and glamour. The gingham motif is revisited on a sheer flowing organza, evoking languorous picnics on the grass. Embroidered daisy organza intermingles with button downs and skirts in woven leather. Macro-florals adorn dresses in stretch cotton and silk gazar.
The collection is finished with captivating accessories, from bow-detailed jewelry in polished steel, to statement belts laser cut in intricate patterns.
