On Sunday, October 14, her work and leadership was recognized at the first annual Girl Up #GirlHero awards. Wearing the embellished blazer in taxicab yellow paired with embroidered tuxedo shirt, plaid shorts, and custom boots from the Carolina Herrera New York Spring 2019 runway collection, Shahidi took time to recognize her GenZ peers and their commitment to defend gender equality.
